Samsung Latam has launched its digital space in Decentraland, the ETH-based metaverse platform. The new area, dubbed “House of Sam,” will provide users with new virtual experiences. They would be able to interact with other users and Samsung products and play mini-games.
Samsung’s Latin America Branch Enters The Metaverse
Samsung Latam, Samsung’s regional branch in Latin America, has dived into the digital space. The company has created an online space devoted to increasing its visibility in the digital world.
The electronics giant will launch the digital space, “House of Sam,” on the ETH-based metaverse platform, Decentraland. As per reports, this move aims to bring the organization closer to the new generation.
Besides, the new generation of users is diving into the metaverse. It is only typical for companies targeting such users to do the same.
Meanwhile, the “House of Sam” is already available for users after its launch on September 1st. The launch featured a digital show from Melim, the famous Brazilian trio.
Arthur Wong, Samsung Latam’s Marketing Director, commented on the latest product launch. Wong stated that customers of the company could interact with one another.
Also, they can take part in various courses, exclusive events, and shows that Samsung Latam will provide for free. According to the Marketing Director, the company aims to draw close to Gen Z.
Since the inception of the metaverse, Gen Z users have been immersed in the digital space. Recall Samsung’s Space Tycoon project is also targeted at Gen Z users.
Samsung’s Metaverse Initiatives
Furthermore, Samsung’s latest metaverse initiative will provide mini-games on its digital space. These games would allow users to know more about the company.
Additionally, there will be prizes for users that take part in the mini-games. These prizes come as digital wearables for their avatars in Decentraland.
Another unique product that Samsung has launched in the digital world is the Freestyle portable projector. This projector can protect videos and images on a wall.
The South Korean-based firm has made several investments in the digital space. In addition, Samsung has invested in crypto mining chips and the NFT industry.
In January, Samsung launched a digital store in Decentraland, Samsung 837X. The store is modeled after its physical location in New York.
In July, the firm launched a metaverse experience on the Roblox platform. The main target of the project called Space Tycoon was Gen Z users.
Space Tycoon features a world where users can construct Samsung products with essential parts. In addition, the digital world has a shop where users can purchase in-game items.
